Established in 1937, the Ohio Association of Broadcasters is one of the nation’s oldest state broadcast associations. The purpose of the OAB is to protect the ability of Ohio radio and television stations to operate their business and serve their community.
As a not-for-profit membership association, the OAB is funded through membership dues and fees for services provided. With approximately 90% of Ohio TV stations and 80% of Ohio radio stations as members, the OAB represents the Ohio broadcast industry in Washington and at the state and local levels.
The OAB and its members are committed to meeting the needs of Ohioans. We invite the public to explore our website for information on careers in broadcasting as well as community-based initiatives.
Through advocacy, compliance information and day-to-day business support services, the OAB meets the needs of its more than 300 members and helps ensure their continuing ability to serve the public interest.
